Tickled Ears?

 

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. Does this verse ring true today? I would say yes. The culture we live in is making rules for what is right and wrong and therefore some denominations have caved to lies of the enemy.

Tickling ears is something my cat likes. She purrs and purrs as I do this. People likewise may be caught in a lifestyle they know is not right but yet continue thumbing their noses at God and pursuing their idea of right.

Now don’t get me wrong, we all have sinned and fallen short but making an idol of a lifestyle instead of living a righteous life before God is wrong. Yes I said it! Many are afraid to. The enemy has perpetuated a lie that continues to fester in society and until repentance comes as a nation we are in trouble. Is your heart hard before God? Who or what do you believe?

PRAYER: I love the Lord yet I know at one time I drifted yet God took me back and redeemed me and my foolish mistakes. I pray for those the present culture has lied to that they too can be set free and live a life pleasing to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Mind Is Not The Devil's Playground

I got up one day and could not find joy. Granted joy had not gone anywhere but my negative mindset was shoving it out. “Satan be gone you have no place in my thoughts.”

Do you have days where you intend to have time alone with the Lord but you somehow get caught up in so much stuff that has little to do with drawing close to God. Negative thinking starts to spiral you downhill. 

Victory comes when you gain control of your thinking. Satan tries to make your thinking his playground but don’t allow that to occur. Reject the lies of Satan he puts in your head. Keep pushing forward knowing Jesus gives you the victory. 

PRAYER:I want to thank you Lord for helping me get control of random thoughts that do nothing to bring glory to you or the kingdom of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Cultural Christianity Is Wrong

The Bible doesn't change. You are in or you are out. No middle ground.

Don’t let the world change you but you must change the world. Everyone has sinned.Certain sin holds bigger ramifications.

Today there is a movement afoot called social justice or cultural Christianity to say God didn’t mean certain things were wrong. After all this is 2023 get with the program. Love is love right? My friend we are to love one another. Those opposing are to love others too. Let’s not let Satan win this ok?

PRAYER: Father I love you and I love those people you created. Help every opinion I have be filtered through you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Be Bold In Your Prayers-Talk Out Loud

 

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Ephesians 6:17 NIV Bible Gateway

Have you ever gotten yourself in a stupor over praying for something that only God can do and you grow weary and yes you pray, but not mightily telling Satan to leave you alone. I was there a few days ago and just got in my tiny corner of prayer closet and told Satan to take his lousy hands off this person I am praying for. 

Days, months, sometimes years might pass and no changes. Some may say to just give it up it is what it is. I choose to believe otherwise and hold out for a big miracle, restoration, and healing.

Finally you say Lord I know this situation is going to change but only in your time for your glory. The world is packed full of lies and Bible haters who want things to be their way or the highway. I am boldly praying for a generation to be set free from the lukewarm Christianity and lies of Satan. 

PRAYER: Test me Lord. I will keep running this race to win. Not gonna quit. Help any struggling with same thing also keep looking to the cross of Christ! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Make Them Invisible To The Enemy

 

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Ephesians 6:16

I was listening to Pastor Joel Osteen recently on Sirius XM and he says to pray that your children will be invisible to the enemy meaning Satan. I love that prayer.

If you are like me you have all these great ideas for daily prayer but then May get so many you forget to do any of them. Right now I am praying for my granddaughter who just entered public school kindergarten. And of course other granddaughter in pre school. I pray for both adult sons and one daughter in law.

Let’s not forget my husband too.

What a neat way to pray “God make them invisible to the enemy” things such as bullies, kidnappers, wrong friends, and so forth. Who do you need to pray for in your life today they the enemy won’t see them?

PRAYER: Lord help me not start the day gloomy consumed with things I have no control over. I choose to put on spiritual armor and pray. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Watch That Mouth

 

“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:37 NKJV Bible Gateway

You are what you say, it is true. The father of negativity is the devil. He loves it when you go on pity parties thinking you are not enough, or that you will surely die, or that you are old and you are surprised you are still functioning. I had to tell someone recently to stop it. 

Your words reveal the condition of your heart. Start confessing positive uplifting things now! Don’t get into a mode where you are comparing yourself to friends or celebrities. The only person to compare yourself to is Jesus! 

Are you able to stop nay saying and condemning yourself by your words? Get in a habit of catching yourself when you start to criticize yourself and put yourself down. Be on guard and keep your words uplifting not digging a hole. 

PRAYER: Lord I thank you for friends and family who are there to pull me out when I fall into ditches of negativity or criticism. Help break that stronghold in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Job Is To Be The Hands And Feet Of Jesus

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.Ephesians 5:1-2

Think about that for a moment the hands and feet of Jesus. What exactly does that mean? My guess is to display the character of Jesus wherever you go and whoever you are around. 

You don’t have to condone or agree with a sinful lifestyle but you can come alongside someone caught up in sin and be their friend. This may be your adult child or a stranger. 

Romans 2:4 says “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?” Remember Satan is an Angel of light and has tricked many into thinking how they are living us ok. (2Corinthians 11:14). 

PRAYER: Put a watch over my lips dear Lord to not condemn or judge but to love and pray instead. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
