Love Is Not Self Centered

 

For God SO loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16 NIV Bible Gateway

Don’t let your love for others be self centered thinking only of yourself. Gods love is ultimate as when He gave His Only son Jesus to die for you. That is not self centered. His focus was you.

His sacrifice was the one total love. Do you have that kind of love? God’s love is TRUE and complete.

Have you said yes to Jesus and accept his unconditional love for you and his forgiveness?

Have you received His gift of salvation by asking Him to be Lord of your life? You can gain the whole world but without Jesus what does it matter? (See Mark 8:36). Surrender yourself today.

PRAYER: Lord I need you in my life and I pray for those who don’t know if they have been saved. I pray for millions to repent and turn to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Love Forgets, Forgives, Keeps No Record Of Wrongs

 

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.1 Corinthians 13:5(NIV) Bible Gateway

You say you love someone be it a spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, child, parents, friends, neighbor but do you keep a record of wrong they did to you in the past? If you do that is unfair. 

Do you think your Heavenly Father would do that to you? The answer is a resounding no. Also do you have a hard time letting go of things done to you thus building up resentment? Dwelling on things in the past is a dead end leading to nowhere good. 

In Isaiah 43:18-19 it reads “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” You have to get your mind focused once again on above not saying things aren’t fair, that wasn’t right, or that hurt me. Move on my friends. What do you have to prove except maybe dwelling makes you bitter and angry. Not a cool thing for a brother and sister in Christ. 

PRAYER:The road is long that leads to life and scripture says few find it. Father keep me on the road of kindness, truthfulness, repentance, and yes love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
