But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Luke 12:31That is a good question, I mean the above question in my title. Being a Christian doesn't happen because of family you were born into or because of joining a church. It is way more than that. When He, Jesus, is really first you will desire to know Him better. That means doing more than one hour Sunday.
When we know Him we need to then in turn trust Him for things in our life. Have you ever known of people who are so discouraged they wish they were already on way to Heaven, ASAP? Life does have struggles yet when we sit back and really do spiritual warfare with the enemy, things will get better. You mind should even stay on things above regardless of how you feel. Tall order, right?
Think of it like this. You and I know that Satan is the one trying his best to kill, steal, destroy, confuse, deceive, and manipulate. So when stressful times come, don't blame Him, but run to Him.
PRAYER: Lord I thank you for my life. Your plan for me is perfect and beyond understanding. Thanks for keeping me on it. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Is Jesus' Really First?
Tuesday, July 9, 2013
WHO IS YOUR ANCHOR?
Ships in a harbor are often times anchored so they do not float away. The anchor is made of iron or some heavy metal and securely keeps the boat from drifting away.
In life who keeps you anchored? Is it something temporal or is Jesus your anchor? Do you occasionally "drift off course" and find yourself doing things or saying things that you know in your heart are just not right?
Hebrews 6:19-20 (NIV) says 'We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.'
Are you firmly and securely letting Jesus anchor you? Is something else "weighing" you down? Now is the time to cast off things you know will drag you off course. What is better, to be adrift in the "seas of sin" and uncertainty or to let Christ hold you in place?
PRAYER: Today Lord I choose to let you hold me firmly in place. When the seas of life try to wash me out into rough waves Lord I choose to hang on to you. In Jesus' name.Amen.
