Do You Trust The Lord?

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  Jeremiah 17:7-8

Trust in the Lord, do you have it? If not do you wish you did? Have you prayed for an issue that is yet to be resolved? Ever think that God is working something out in you through this waiting period? It is hard to wait and it is hard to not want to fume and take matters in your own hands as if you could really.

Think about the word picture given from today’s scripture, a tree planted by water that is living water and stays green. Do you have that ‘living water’ in your life?  When you can relax and trust God you don’t have to keep orchestrating things or overthinking an issue but can simply believe and trust God has your back and cares for you and things will be ok.

What issues are you struggling with today? How much time do you spend in prayer and Bible reading daily because the more you lean into God the less your anxiety will be. God speaks to you through scripture. Today before you rush off to do less important things make sure your to do list includes ‘time with the Savior’. Maybe get a journal and write your thoughts as you read through verses. End in prayer which is simply just a chat with God. Let Him hear your heart.

PRAYER: This is the day you have made and I choose to rejoice and try to serve others more than my self. I choose to learn from waiting and trust you for the outcome which may come in a ‘suddenly’ moment. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Trusting God For Little Things And Big Things

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
What are you trusting God for? It could be a change in someone, an item you need and can’t afford, a new job, even a coat and a nursing bra. Yes that got your attention I am certain. I actually prayed once for hand me down nursing bras and coincidentally, NOT, a lady in day care at church one day says “hey could you use some nursing bras.” I prayed for a certain jacket years ago and found it shortly thereafter at a Thrift store.
Don’t figure out how just trust God to do work in your life seemingly impossible stuff but once again not on your timetable but His. God is the giver of good things and he loves you. He is not Santa Claus or a genie but simply and powerfully God. Enough said.

So today whatever you are hoping for or wishing you would see a breakthrough in a situation don’t listen to the enemy who will make you the biggest doubter ever, don’t compare yourself to another’s situation as everyone’s plan is different, but simply continue to pray believing God can do the impossible!

PRAYER: I lift your name on high Lord Jesus! I thank you for miracles I have seen or heard about and know how awesome and powerful you are. As I look around at people whose faces look sad or hopeless I pray for a touch of God to come to many not just because it is the Christmas season but to show your mighty power. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
