Love Is-Part 1

 

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  1 Corinthians 13:4

On your journey in life love is a key factor. 1 Corinthians 13 is often used in marriage ceremonies because it is full of the real meaning of love. 

Are you patient and are you kind? With everyone? Are you jealous when others seem to get a better deal on life? That is not loving. Read the scripture out loud and think what it means. 

Love is kind even when humanly it may have all the reason to fight back. Patience is key in loving relationships and not being quick to provoke or cause a dispute. 

There is so very much packed into this one tiny verse. Why not try to aim for fulfilling this in your life. Think before overreacting, texting, and spewing forth on social media. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you journey through life. 

PRAYER: I love you Lord and I want my life to emulate a follower of Christ. It is difficult to do that when I lash out at others with my mouth with words I never thought about before I said them. Keep me still. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Hitting Rock Bottom

The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. Proverbs 24:16

What does it take for some to completely 100% embrace grace, forgiveness, redemption, and healing? The devil is at work overtime lying and deceiving people, some who were getting set free. The enemy sticks his foot out and trips them. 

This is warfare full out assault. When a person turns their backs on friends and family who were speaking truth and trying to help it is demonic warfare. A simple visit to a wrong friend posing as a right friend is all Satan needs to make a person who was falling continue to fall. 

Good news is the story is far from over. Whatever the issue is God hears the prayers of moms, friends, dads, prayer groups, and sometimes when God has a plan to really use the person to help thousands get set free from whatever is dragging them down the enemy works even harder to cause arguments and belittling of family and friends who were on the broken persons side. If this is describing a situation in your life or someone you know, keep fighting and knowing Satan will not be victorious and your loved one will be hearing the truth again. 

PRAYER: My heart aches when I hear of stories or even if it is my story of people who are misled and therefore mislead others sometimes claiming to have great Bible knowledge. Satan is attacking and I claim the blood of Jesus over all family members or any friends being deceived. Set them free. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Seducing Spirits

 

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. 2 John 1:7 ESV

 

The devil is tricky. He will not let up on those individuals so close to slipping full force into his drudge pit. His lies, manipulation, even misuse of Bible verses all taunts those people caught up in sin.

 

Perhaps you know an individual close to falling or who has already slipped back into sin. Over and over the demonic spirits lie to this person and their time with the Lord goes by the wayside and replaced with things to tickle their ears to justify their sin. People who want to help are shut out of their life.

 

Don’t get me wrong, we all sin and similar to the prostitute in the movie ‘Redeeming Love’  even though she was rescued out of the brothel and married a godly man who loved her unconditionally she kept running back to the brothel as she didn’t feel worthy of love or freedom in Christ. Like a dog returning to his vomit (Proverbs 23:11) the fool repeats his folly and demons laugh hilariously. If this is you or you know someone like this don’t give up on them. Persevere because your prayers do matter!

 

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for your love for when loved ones turn their back on me all I can do is continue to press into prayer. Help anyone who is caught up in the lies the enemy attacks them with, and remove lethargic blinders. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pushing Rewind

Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Luke 7:48

Generation Z maybe has not heard the term rewind like we who grew up with the VHS tapes saying “Be kind rewind” but basically it is returning to start.

You may have done something so awful you wonder how you could ever be forgiven. Good news. God is a good good God and extends grace and mercy for those truly repentant. No matter what. 

The devil will try to make you feel like it can’t be possible that for instance you murdered someone and actually god would wipe your slate clean. Redemption is there for those whose hearts are truly repentant. How about you? Are you ready to go to God and say you are sorry and truly be set free and on a redeemed course of life? 

PRAYER: Lord I thank you that no matter what you love me and forgive me if I come to you with a contrite heart. Use me Lord to reach out to those having a hard time believing this. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
