Relax Your Mind-Don’t Overthink

"Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."Matthew 6:34

What is burdening you right now? Many times when you have concerns in your life and you know you are to let them go but just can’t seem to do it all the way. Why is it you hang on to things cluttering your peace? 

Spiritual  discipline takes practice doing something over and over such as to stop overthinking and focus your mind on a new topic. The only thing you do by constantly mulling over stuff is to make yourself mentally sick and unpleasant to be around. 

Pray and ask God to help you shut off wrong thinking patterns. Stop gazing at social media it does nothing more than to fuel a fire already blazing. Pray, trust, believe and know that you will receive peace. 

PRAYER: I ask Father for help getting spider webs out of my head filled with wrong thoughts. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Nothing Too Hard For God

 "But Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"Matthew 19:26

 

Nothing is too difficult for God. It is supernatural and it is a God thing. I am referring to how God works in your life as a result of your faithful prayers. 

Have you prayed and wondered why nothing is changing and you are tempted to jump in and help the Almighty which is almost comical thinking of it. God has a plan and works things out in His time and His way. Don’t mess things up by trying to make stuff happen on your timetable. 

Hang in there. Be still. Keep talking to God daily in prayer. Keep trusting and believing. 

PRAYER: Father I need you to help guide me and stay still. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Is Jesus Your Cornerstone?

Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’Isaiah 28:16

A cornerstone is the first stone set in the foundation of a masonry foundation. As a believer we are to remember that Jesus is our foundation. 

Have you allowed Jesus to be your cornerstone? If not what is holding you back? Too religious you say. Maybe you think you are fine without Jesus and all that. 

Do you want that ‘firm foundation’ only offered by Jesus?
