Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope (Romans 5:3-4 NIV).“Eat your greens they are good for you.” “This is going to hurt you more than it hurts me.” “No pain no gain.”Don’t you just want to scream when you hear these statements?Guess what? A certain amount of suffering does develop character kind of like a stint in the military. But some suffering and pain is heart wrenching and unexplainable.Know that if you are a follower of Christ he loves you and is with you and he will strengthen you and help you to see the purpose in suffering.PRAYER: My heart aches for those hurt by suffering who don’t understand and get mad at God. All I know is there is hope. Help those suffering hang on to hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
