Think About Easter

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee. Luke 24:6

What does Easter mean to you? Is it Jesus and the miracle of Jesus raising from the dead or is it Easter bunnies, new dresses, an annual church visit, lots of food, family celebration, Easter Egg hunts and baby chicks? Most people reading I would venture to say know what Easter is all about.  

This is the day Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. To me this holiday is way more fun than Christmas. Sure you can celebrate in fun ways but if you have children I urge you to put the Easter bunny costume away and see about celebrating a unique way that insures they know what this special day is all about. Too many times Christians cave in and secularism takes over in their lives too. 

Hallelujah, Jesus has risen just as He said. Now go share this good news. Don't be shy about trying to let others know about the reason of hope that is in you. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. Pray for those people who may be coming to church for the first time today as they feel it is 'the thing to do' on this day. 

PRAYER: Today I pray for pastors and priests who will be delivering the Easter messages throughout the world. I pray for ears to hear and hearts to be receptive. I pray for revival in the hearts of man. In Jesus' name. Amen.
