Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips. Proverbs 27:2
Is much nicer to share the company of a humble person than a braggart. If you have ever been guilty of boasting about anything God can forgive you and set you free from this need to tell everyone everything great you or someone in your family has done. If you are a parent, teach your children the value of being humble and putting others before themselves. As the verse above suggests, resist the urge to tell everyone every great thing and sit back and maybe they may do it first.
When you receive any praise make sure to give the glory and praise to God for seeing you through all things you do in life and giving you your talents and abilities.
PRAYER: If I have ever been guilty of boasting please forgive me. Help me brag on other people and praise others and not toot my own horn. I desire the humility In Jesus' name. Amen.
