God Is Not Mocked

“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭7

Whatever a man does sow he will in fact reap. That means you should be planting seeds of faith, hope, love, generosity and so forth. 

Do not mock the creator. You sow to the flesh you reap destruction. You sow to the spirit you reap a heavenly reward. 

Satan has been working overtime to alleviate the word of God and people who want to get the truth out. The Bible is the best selling book of all time. A person has to decide are they going to immense themselves in the world and its culture or follow after Jesus. I know what I choose. 

PRAYER: Lord God the word hate is thrown around a lot lately when it comes to the truth in the word. Help me shine my light for Jesus and be kind to those who may not understand because they are not following God and his truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Spiritual Roots

And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; Ephesians 3:17 LB Bible Gateway

 

Do your roots go down deep into Christ or have they started to rot?How is your root system? 

If you plant something in your yard you water it, prune it, and fertilize it. Similarly to have good spiritual roots they have to be fed daily by reading the word of God. It is essential for growth. 

Maybe you have gotten away from spiritual things because you were too hurt by something or someone or too busy. Guess what, God is waiting for you to come back. Don’t let your spiritual roots die. 

PRAYER: I need you father. I pray for anyone out there who has let their spiritual life and love for God whether they admit it or not. I pray that God can come back n the throne of their hearts. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

God Is Awesome

"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all." 1 Chronicles 29:11 ESV

Are you having one of those moments where you can’t get your mind off yourself and your issues? Take a break and praise God. Yes you heard me. Give a mighty shout of praise to your creator.

Don’t let everything become about you. Let God hear your praises to Him. He needs to hear you praising Him. Thank Him for what He has done and what He is going to do.

Go outside and watch a sunrise or sunset. Look at HIs majesty all around you. You don’t think He cares or is working fast enough? Be still and trust Him.

PRAYER: God you are so good to me. Many times I am just whining and bemoaning my plight yet not taking time to give you thanks for how you are working. Help me be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Can You Love Like Christ Does?

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God…because God is love” (1 John 4:7-8, NIV).

Christ loves everyone period!  Accepting and loving a person does not mean you agree with them on every issue of life but you still love. 

Now this loving thing recently has become a hot button issue and the one thing Christ created can cause division among friends and family. That is not from God, that is the divisive spirit. The divisive spirit is taking something God created and misusing or mislabeling it. 

My friend we are called to be kind, love, share, not judge, and so forth. Satan has weaved a web of deception causing many to become entrapped. Many hurting and confused people are wandering around due to Satan and his lies and deception. Pray for those you disagree with and leave the rest to God. No one is perfect. 

PRAYER: Help me center my thoughts on you Lord and to truly love like you do. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Do You Need A Reset?

"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.".John 4:23-24

Are there areas of your life that need a reset? I got the idea for this devotion after reading Give Him 15 devotion recently. Areas of your life maybe need a dusting, cleaning and rethinking. Reset time!

Does your thinking need a reset? Do you dwell too much on wrong things and stuff you have no control over? You prayed so try to stop mulling over it and in faith know God is working. 

God cares about you and He cares about your life and knows your heart. You may be heart broken or distraught over something but you have prayed and now you just have to trust God is working no matter what you see. 

PRAYER: Father I thank you that you are working on those things I have shared in heartfelt prayer. I know your ways are higher and better than mine. Help me trust and be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Will Accomplish His Plan For My Life

 

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.Proverbs 3:5-6

Pastor Jeffreys of Dallas First Baptist was preaching about God and his will for your life and when ‘what if’ questions popped up he would answer with today’s title. 

You don’t need to waste energy worrying about tomorrow just focus on today.God knows exactly what is in store for you and even through both good and bad things his plans will unfold. 

Take time today to give thanks for all the things in your life and be grateful for even the hard times because God has a purpose. 

PRAYER: I thank you for your plans for me to bring me a future and a hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Are You Troubled?

 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me.John 14:1

There are all sorts of things you could get yourself all stressed out over but why? You tell yourself you are not going to let stuff bother you but then you do. 

The past couple weeks has been stressful after the assassination of young Charlie Kirk who wanted to be remembered most as sharing Christ with others. You can not internalize every single thing in life as your own or you will get yourself physically sick. 

I suggest a good dose of the book of John and have included one verse to start you off. Breathe in God’s goodness, breathe out anger, stress, discontent, fear, comparison and anything else not letting you be all who Christ wants you to be. 

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for my life. Thank you for the morning sun and the moon and stars at night. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
