Do You Have Life Insurance?

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”1 John 5:13

Many ads on TV are about life insurance asking primarily older viewers if they have it? I have known people whose spouse died and had no life insurance and many had to work, downsize, and much more. But I am not referring to earthly life insurance for things here on Earth but do you have Heavenly life insurance or maybe it should be called ‘assurance’ of knowing when you take your last breath and your eyes open you will be facing Jesus? 

It is not about what denomination you are a member of or if you were baptized as an infant or even if you are the pastor of a church but have you given your heart and life to Jesus and have a desire to serve Him while on Earth to try to get others to know Him as their savior. 

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved(Acts 16:31). As my former pastor in Mesa, Arizona Gary Kinnaman called it ‘Jesus Plus Nothing’  and not all the other stuff various ‘religious people’ say is necessary. 

PRAYER: Everyone needs a savior. Many are stumbling blind through like adoring the world and the frivolity of the culture. I pray you will help those people who need a savior find you. Soften hearts to hear your still small voice. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Spoiled Brat

"And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father."Ephesians 5:18-20

Have you ever acted like a little spoiled brat where you have so much to be grateful for like a cozy home, wonderful spouse, many abundant opportunities but because of comparison you get your eyes off God and his goodness and start acting like a bratty child. I feel this is compounded by your social media accounts. 

Why is it we have to look at our neighbors grass, his boat, his new remodel job, his trip to an exotic island, and all the other things where it seems like this person is having the best life ever when you forget your purpose here is to be hands and feet of Jesus not be wanting more and more of what the world sees is important. 

Married ladies reading this thank your husband for his hard work which is often overlooked. Find ways to serve others rather than always thinking someone needs to pamper and coddle you to be happy. Everyone in America should be grateful just for living in the greatest nation on Earth where anything is possible. Don’t forget, to God be the glory. 

PRAYER: Lord you are good and your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for where I am in life and help me help others and not be a complaining whiner. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Spiritual Discernment

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.”Philippians 1:9-10

 Recently another devotion writer dealt with the subject of movies and what should a Christ follower see or not see and it is a touchy area. If I were to start judging I am acting like Holy Spirit Junior. 

That being said I always ask myself a simple question, “if Jesus were here would I ask him to join me at this particular movie or sit down in front of a particular program.

I do know Satan masquerades as an angel of light(2 Corinthians 11:14) and will give Christians plenty of lame excuses about their life choices. Be on your knees my friend. You only answer to God but WWJD. Oh no I just guilted someone. Sorry. Lift up your eyes to the Lord and let Him help you make decisions and stay in the word not allowing the enemy to trick you. 

PRAYER:Father please help me be discerning about the type of things I let into my spirit and not do something only cause it is culturally popular. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

God I Still Remember

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”Ephesians 1:4-6

In reading an email from writer Elizabeth Gunter I got the idea for this title. Instead of bemoaning things and worrying  stop and say “Hey God I still remember you are in control” or “Hey God I still remember you love me and care for me”. Another would be “Hey God I know you love my children and grandchildren more than I do” then relax. 

It is so very easy to fret and to heap up mental burdens you were never meant to carry. That is exactly what Satan wants you to do. He had me all wrought up over something recently til a friend reminded me to not scream at Satan but quote scripture to Him. 

I don’t know what it is you are dealing with right now but I do know God is wanting you to talk to Him. Don’t hold stuff in. Get on your knees in prayer and surrender this stuff to Him and let Him work. 

PRAYER:Father give me your perfect peace to live in the world and help me do the work you have set before me. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Do You Need A Deep Cleaning?

 "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." James 4:8

This time of year I have been receiving advertisements in the mail for duct cleaning, window cleaning, carpet cleaning and so forth. Advertisers hoping for people to be in the deep cleaning mode. 

Does your heart and spirit need a deep cleaning too? Is there hardness of heart, unforgiveness, jealousy,unthankfulness, and bitterness that is choking out the word of God from taking root. 

Do you have a desire and hunger for God and His word? Do you desire this? I know I do but sometimes I get lazy and reach for the TV remote more than my Bible. Let God hear from you daily even a simple “Hello God it’s me. Block Satan in my life.” Keep doing things that will draw you closer. 

PRAYER: Lord my heart yearns for you in this dry weary land. Help me each day to seek you and forgive me when I get lazy. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Putting Your Fingers In Your Ears

“But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears.They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.Zechariah 7:11-12

When you were a child you may have stuck your fingers in your ears when you didn’t want to hear someone and make noise so you didn’t have to listen. That is how many Christ followers and some who have fallen away are today. 

People pick and choose what to obey or ignore. They may make up their own rules to suit the culture. News flash is this culture is temporary. Sodom and Gomorrah were temporary. We are a vapor here today gone tomorrow. 

Are you listening to God or can you hear Him above the clamor of social media and political ranting? Today if you hear His voice do not harden your heart. Run to the cross. 

PRAYER: Lord bring peace to those who are caught up in the junk of this culture. Help me Lord trust you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

No Compromise

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God".Romans 12:1-2

The culture we are in wants us to compromise to its’ standards and ways of thinking. That is a dangerous thing to do to start playing God and rewriting the Bible taking things out of context. 

The Bible mentions bringing people down who try to play God or ignore His warnings and rules of nature. Too long mankind thought he could be in charge and mark through things in the Bible that don’t apply to today. Everything applies to today. 

A person will eventually stumble and fall into the pit of his own doing when he or she decides their own righteousness and disobey God’s. If you struggle with belief in truth take a moment on your knees preferably to cry out to Him and ask Him to show up in a big way and guide your life onto the path that leads to Eternal Life. 

PRAYER: Lord help the eyes of those blinded by the comforts and lies of this culture wake up and hear the truth. Bring a mighty revival. Make our Bibles more important than the TV or social media and bring a hunger for it among those who already know you and those who don’t.

UNDO

For those of you who have been reading these devotions long enough you know I get many of my titles from personalized vehicle tags and this one no exception. I try to figure out what individual means by it, and thus tag said ‘UNDO 22’ but I shortened it as I have no clue. 

There is a Christian song I will attach at the end entitled Undo by artists from Birmingham, Alabama that was released in early 2000’s I think. When I think of the word ‘undo’ I think of trying to go back and fix things or make them the way they used to be. 

Is there anything in your life you wish could be undone or that you could have a re-do of sorts? I know there is in mine but guess what? God can use the good and the bad to mold you into who He wants you to be. Don’t beat yourself up over past mistakes and sins but if involved actively now in something you know needs changed pray and ask for strength and deliverance. 

PRAYER: Lord help me pursue righteousness and let go of things of this culture taking me away from you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Tempted To Quit?

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.1Peter 5:10 ESV Bible Gateway

Usually when you become discouraged and want to give up on a prayer need it usually means breakthrough is near. 

What is it you have been crying out to God for? He hears you my friend and things are done on His timetable not yours. Tell Satan you are through being stuck in this season and he better watch out as victory is at the door and his time is short.

Do you want the joy of the Lord back or do you want to get stuck in the swamp of discouragement? Do you want to show the enemy who is boss? The problem may not be over but it is coming. Believe it. Set your eyes on things above my friend. 

PRAYER: Lord I am not growing weary in my prayers and I am not going to give Satan glory by my worry. I claim victory for my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Christian-ish

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”Mark 8:38

I saw this term recently in scrolling prayers for a church I was watching online. ‘Christian-ish’ I guess is what many people would say they are in that they are really not a bad individual but not all in or ‘hyper religious’ as some would say. 

Sounds a little wishy washy to me not to stand in judgment or anything. Either you are for God and becoming closer to Him or you are ashamed of Him and don’t want people to know. 

Are you ready to go all in and don’t care who knows? You would be surprised how many others will walk along with you. 

PRAYER: Today if you hear God’s voice harden not your heart. I pray my heart is never hard Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

What Are You Called To Do?

And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.1 Corinthians 12:28 NIV Bible Gateway 

Everyone has a calling. You are not here on Earth by accident or default. Have you figured out what it is you are called to do? 

I was listening to a pastors message recently concerning the gift of helps. Everyone can be a helper in your daily life not just in a church setting. 

Helping physically, emotionally and spiritually are the ways you can be a helper. Reminds me of a children’s book I read to my sons when they were growing up called ‘The Big Enough Helper’ meaning everyone even a child is capable of helping in some way. If not called to help what is your gift? 

PRAYER: Father I thank you for gifts you bestow upon all of your creation. Help those people far from you hear your voice and return and start using the gifts you have given them. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Be A Change Agent

 

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.2 Peter 3:9

Do you want to be a world changer? Start in your neighborhood or community by lifting people up in prayer. After I moved into my subdivision here in Idaho I prayer walked several times. You can do the same where you live. 

Speak up in love at City Council meetings and school board meetings. Don’t allow the enemy to weasel  his way into your community and participate in National Day of Prayer annually in May. If there isn’t one get it started. 

You get the idea. Shine for Jesus right where you are planted. 

PRAYER: Today my heart yearns for holiness and righteousness in my country and especially in my community. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Don’t Let Sin Be The Boss Of You

Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. Romans 6:12 WEB Bible Gateway 

As a follower of Christ this world is not your home and it is ruled by the Prince of darkness Satan who tries to lie, connive, deceive, steal and so forth to get you to change and bow to him. You may not think you are bowing to him but when you do things that deep down you know are wrong then you are in his court. 

John 10:10 says Satan comes to kill,steal, and destroy and many caught up in sin don’t realize they are sinning. Some are so blinded by deception from Satan they may think all is just fine. 

If you have lost your way God is ready to take you back. Satan will not like that and will captivate you with lies and excuses but deep down you know what you need to do. Don’t keep playing into the devil’s hands and ask friends and family to pray. 

PRAYER: Father my heart breaks for those people who don’t realize they have taken a seat at Satan’s table. I pray for anyone I know in this situation to be able to break free. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Come To Me And Let Me Take It From Here

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30 NIV Bible Gateway

How many times do you pray about something and say you will leave it with God but a few minutes go by and you are mulling over it? 

Why is it so hard to let things go? Human nature and the flesh like to barge in and attempt to control an outcome and it never will end good. 

I don’t know what you are praying for but trust that God has heard you and the wheels are turning so to speak. By you being still even keeping your mind still things will progress much better. 

PRAYER: Lord my heart is torn at times when I consistently pray but don’t see much change. I thank you that I know you are working. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Notification- It’s Me God. Are You There?

I love those who love me, and those who seek me early shall find me.Proverbs 8:17

 

Do you ever wonder if you are getting through to God? I mean you pray and pray and nothing seems to happen. Key point is God’s timing is perfect and you can’t rush Him. 

When you jump ahead of God it is certain to backfire. Be still. Stay still. Think on good things. Don’t dwell on negatives. 

So yes my friend God is with you just be patient. 

PRAYER: Lord help me rest and wait on you. Guard my heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Do Not Let Your Heart Be Troubled

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.John 14:1

What is troubling you today my friend?God does not want you to worry, fret, and fear but wants you to sit still and be at peace. 

What things are consuming your heart and mind  space today? No matter what they are focusing on things that tear you apart mentally is not what God wants for you. 

Right now stop what you are doing and stop wrong thoughts from entering your head. Say God “thank you for your perfect peace and for handling my concerns” then let it go. You’ve got this! 

PRAYER: Lord God thank you for loving me and being with me through good and bad times. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Hard To Fathom

  ‘The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.’”Psalm 34:18

Some things in life are hard to fathom and especially the July 4 central Texas flash floods that took the lives of several people including many 8 year old Christian girls at a camp. My heart aches for these families. Several are still unaccounted for. 

In life tragedies occur. Who can explain the death of a baby at birth or a promising teenager who planned to go to medical school?What about the young newlywed struck down by cancer? Or newlyweds who perished as a plane crashed upon take off. All these are things that actually happened. 

Life is fragile handle with prayer for sure. Most people seem to want to scream at God when tragedy occurs. God doesn’t cause people to die but in life people have free will and storms and stuff just happen. If you know of someone experiencing loss just be their comforter and let them cry if they need to. 

PRAYER: Lord I don’t understand losses either but I know they are part of life. May something good come from these recent tragedies in Texas. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Being Still In A Chaotic World

“The LORD will fight for you while you keep still.”Exodus 14:14

When you make yourself intentionally be still many nice benefits can occur. Recently because of eye surgery I was forced to be still. I sat on my back porch and took in nature and sounds around me. 

I saw the second hummingbird of the season and I am sure there had been more but maybe I was too consumed with my phone to see them. I watched as the trees blew in the breeze. The doves were cooing to each other. Robins flew and perched on my back fence. 

Perhaps your heart and mind need to practice stillness while you wait on God. Whatever it is my friend getting in an emotional frenzy is not the answer. Trust God and learn to be still and thankful even for small answers to prayers as it is a sign God is at work. Be still. 

PRAYER: Help anyone struggling with stillness to be able to get away to a quiet place and lift up holy hands to you in praise and thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Now This Is America!

 

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.Phillipians 4:19

Right now I am writing from the second story, a loft of sorts, called Kaveman Lounge spelled with a K, at Ridley’s Grocery a Northwest grocer. It is so cool that you can grab a coffee at the Beans and Brews and head up here to chill. 

While up here I can gaze down on aisles and aisles of grocery products. We in America live in abundance and that is why so many want to immigrate here. There are also those who want to destroy us on the eve of our 250th birthday which makes me sad. 

Try to remember to thank God every day for family,, clothes, health, car, healthcare, friends, a place to live, your Bible(if you don’t own one let me know I will buy one for you), and yes an abundance of grocery stores. Even if things are t always perfect you have it better than most in third world countries. Stop and give thanks. 

PRAYER: Lord I give you thanks for all that you have blessed me with. Help me always share with those less fortunate. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

You Are Never Too Far Away

““Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭9‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬

You are never so far away from God that He can not rescue you. No matter what you have done or not done you can be set free. It is Satan or his ‘agents’ that tries to make you believe you are fine like you are and need no revival.

If you know someone caught in Satan’s trap they may scoff at you for implying they need a rescue but keep praying and don’t let Satan defeat you. Believers are way stronger than him. 

He is not a man in a red suit with a pitchfork like the world tries to depict him but is sinister, coy, a liar, hates the family unit as established by God, and twists scriptures to make even ‘church goers’ get trapped. Stand strong my friend. Keep praying that you may never be deceived and keep lifting up family or friends luted into his trap. 

PRAYER: I know Lord that no one is too far gone that you can’t reach down and save them and clean them up. Help anyone struggling with right and wrong to heed voice of Holy Spirit. Restore broken families and bring people back to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

A Sense Of Wonder

You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.Psalm 77:14

There are many things to be thankful for in this big beautiful world we live in and if you are reading this from a country like America there is so much to thank the Lord for. Don’t ever lose your sense of wonder like little children have. 

Look around you at nature and see birds flying, building nests, the gentle breeze which is unseen but you can feel on your skin. The way your body was fashioned by your creator. Take it all in. 

Go to a quiet place outside and ponder the beauty and uniqueness of God’s glory all around you. If you have grandchildren be in awe of how God fashioned them in their mother’s womb into a girl or a boy. Don’t stop marveling at things God made. Be childlike in your faith too. 

PRAYER: Open closed eyes to reflect on the beauty of your creation Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Don’t Focus On Bad

Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.Proverbs 4:25

I was talking to a close friend who suggested I don’t keep bemoaning the fact my prayer for a certain thing has not been answered yet but to look to God and focus on the answer that is to come.

How true it is because the enemy tries to distract and confuse and get you become a pit dweller. Don’t go there. Get up daily thanking God for answers to come. 

Don’t let the enemy rob you of your joy. Confess out loud scripture and say “Lord I thank you for how you are working” then be still and don’t keep fretting. 

PRAYER: Father thankyou for the way you are working behind the scenes help me be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Life On A Mission

 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit Teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."Matthew 28:19

What is your mission or in other words your mission statement for life? What do you want to accomplish and it is mostly self centered or others focused? 

Do you need deliverance in your life? Do you need to find your purpose or recapture your zeal for life and living with kingdom purposes? Lots of questions I know. I too have to answer these same questions. 

Are you living to help make others want to live for Jesus or do things you say or do detract from the kingdom? Each and every day try to stay Christ focused so indeed you will be able to say my life is not about me. 

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for setting me free and I pray for anyone who needs deliverance from an addiction or lifestyle to find freedom only you can give. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Be A Trend Setter-Don’t Follow Trends

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.1 John 2:15

If you are on social media you will notice a pop up off and on that says ‘trending now’ as if to think you too need to dive into the elusive world of what is current and popular. My question is “why does it matter?”

Followers of God are called to be set apart and different. Our place is to help others follow Christ not follow culture. It is not a popular stand to take but a necessary one. 

This world is passing away. All the trendy things will pass away with it. Don’t try to live to impress others but try to impress God. He is the only one that matters. 

PRAYER: Help me Lord not follow the god of this dark world but to keep my eyes focused on you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Daily Soul-Care

He sought God during the days of Zechariah,who instructed him in the fear

of God. As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success.2 Chronicles 26:5

Do you take care of your spirit man on a daily basis? Naturally you wake up get dressed and get ready for the day but do you ignore God in the process? 

Perhaps you are really busy and don’t even understand the importance of hiding God’s word in your heart. Daily mental battles will come your way and it is essential to hide God’s word in your heart to be able to fight off the discouragement you may feel each day. 

You can win the battle of your mind by daily reading God’s word. Each and every day stand firm and know God is with you. He loves you and is there for you as you fight your battles. Never quit. 

PRAYER: My soul is hungry and at times I feel I am in a barren land but I know you are there to guide me on my daily journey. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Disappointment, Discouragement, Defeat, Despair

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV Bible Gateway

 

Are you down in the dumps and trying to pull yourself out? Whatever has caused you to feel forlorn keep praying all the time. 

Most of the time the four things in today’s title are caused by dwelling on bad stuff that creates fear or a sense of uncertainty. Don’t allow Satan to make you go there. Get familiar with Bible verses and say them out loud. The devil will have to flee. 

Walk in the Spirit it says in Galatians 5:16 and you will not give place to your fleshly carnal nature. Stay positive and hopeful even through the bad news of life. God has not abandoned you. 

PRAYER: Today I choose hope over despair and courage over fear. Give me strength to run my race with a winning attitude. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Standards Of Right And Wrong

 "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."James 4:17

Which do you go by? The Bible or a dysfunctional world are two sources of learning right and wrong. Sin is a foreign unfamiliar concept to many.

The world is like a frog put in a pot of cold water on the stove and slowly turning up the heat til it dies. That is how you become if you rely on the world system and culture for right and wrong. It never will have a good outcome. 

There is no way to teach morals apart from God. Our world follows foreign gods and things that make them feel good for the moment. Brother and sister keep on your knees for those who are caught up in this world leaving no desire or room for God. 

PRAYER: Father my heart breaks for those people who give little time to God who loves them dearly. I ache especially for loved ones who have put God on the shelf. Draw them back to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

America Is 249 Years Old!

“Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.”  1 Peter 2:16

I recently was reading a children’s book about early Emigrants from Sweden who faced all sorts of hardships to come settle in America and it made me grateful I was born when I was. 

Freedom is precious and this country has always been where people wanted to come and there are those fighting on the opposite side to destroy us. 

This nation was founded using the Bible there is no denying that even though people who hate Christian’s or freedom try to change that truth. Stand firm and think of those brave pioneers, soldiers, and founders who did the right thing putting their own lives on the line. Happy Birthday America! 🇺🇸 

PRAYER: Father I am ever so grateful I was born in this country and I have friends born elsewhere who emigrated here who are very thankful. Guard my heart against arrogance and protect me and others who know the truth from the deceit of Satan. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Servant Smiles

"A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man himself. Proverbs 11:17

If you are a child of God you are a servant of the most high and let me give you an assignment. Wherever you are smile at people the ‘world’ calls ‘servants’. I am speaking of housekeepers in hotels, cleaning crew at airport, wait staff in eating establishments you get the idea. 

Be the hands and feet of Jesus and the smile of Him as well. I got this idea when traveling recently at Dallas Fort Worth Airport. Seeing janitorial staff  scurrying about I tried to be kind with a thankyou or a smile. 

Is there someone you could smile at today? 

PRAYER: Lord I thankyou for the blessings in my life. Help me be a blessing to another person. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Stop Your Worrying

 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34 NIV Bible Gateway

 Why do you worry so much? We worry about what people think. Why on earth should it matter what others think? You worry you have cancer and are going to die. Stop it. Worry can consume your life if you allow it to. 

Try this. If you have an hour that is free, put down your phone, don’t turn on TV, just sit outside if it is nice weather and empty your mind and relax. Don’t start mulling over issues in your head but tell Satan to leave you alone as you sit and ponder kindness and thoughtfulness. 

If you can develop this habit of just not letting worse case scenarios enter your thoughts you will be more successful in your overall life. Don’t look at social media and if tempted to pray instead. Someone you need to forgive? Do that as well. 

PRAYER: Father I ask you to break the cycle of worry in anyone’s heart today who may be continually not able to be still. Let positive words come from their mouths. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Spiritual Warfare 101

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.Ephesians 6:10

These past few years have been explosive, divisive, argumentative, implosive, hateful, hurtful all because of the stupid devil. Why can’t people see it? 

Family divides, political divides, church divides, friendship divides, you name it. 

The division wasn’t due to a disease, a face mask, or a president but to the enemy coming in and using the opportunity to create havoc. Even if I mentioned these three things in devotions I was blamed for taking sides. Once again spiritual warfare not people was the cause. 

The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy it says that in John 10:10. All these things that happened were from the pit of Hell to try to divide this nation and its’ people. Brother and sister take up your armor so you can stand against the devil. Don’t go into the day without your prayer covering. Pray bold prayers and stand strong. 

PRAYER: I pray for anyone who likes to push people’s buttons so to speak and cause trouble. Silence them Lord and help them find you Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
