I love the observation of missing a &...Wow, Becky! I love the observation of missing a 'teachable moment'. I am reminded that all of us need a sense of "otherness" to live as a civilized society. While as believers, that translates into the "one another" verses. But even unbelievers have to work, live, play with other people with a thought to their culture. Going to a movie recently, a mom's cell phone went off twice, the family carried on conversations in loud voices, and one child kicked the back of my daughter's chair throughout the movie. This devotion of yours strikes a chord on several levels. We have the Holy Spirit to guide and protect us from being barbarians.
