How many times in the name of entertainment have you maybe caught yourself watching something you know would not please God? Vulgarity, profanity, murders. It has become common place and called ‘entertainment’.You have to learn to walk away and turn from evil.
Children can get caught up in this too. Parents it is your job to not let it happen. Make sure you are not compromising your values and getting desensitized to things you know are not of God.
Don’t think something is okay just cause it is a movie or TV and be alert to what you allow to seep into your mind and heart. Spend more time in the pursuit of holiness and less in the pursuit of Hollywood.
PRAYER: Keep me sensitive to things that can destroy me and help me be convicted of good and evil and learn to turn away from bad junk. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Amen! The things we see on television first start out as subtle and then they keep going deeper into the area of smut until we are lulled into a sense of "that's all right, it's only television." But those scenes and those thoughts get into our minds and replay at the most inconvenient times.
