Staying A Baby Forever Is Not Good

I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 1 Corinthians 3:2

Parents who have newborn babies don't want them to stay a baby forever. It may seem cute to have this little tiny human, pure and innocent, but if they stayed an infant it is not a good thing. Can you imagine going to junior high in diapers, or crawling when you are in grade school. Also if your baby continued to eat Gerber baby food,  or drank infant or toddler formula, that too is not wise. Eventually they have to grow up.

Likewise spiritually it is necessary to grow up. Many people are under the impression to baptize a baby, join a church, or go on Sunday is enough to be able to say you are 'religious' and sort of have made it in that 'church life category'. First I hate the word religious. I am not religious, I love Jesus. When a person seemingly is going 'too crazy' for the things of the Lord often times a label is given to them by those who don't understand. It might even be from other 'church people'.

This Earth is NOT our home. Why not use the time you have now to get to know Christ better. If you have not asked Him to be Lord of your life, do so. Baptism alone does not save you no matter what a 'religious leader' may have said. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Once saved shouldn't it be a natural thing to want to be mature in Christ and get some spiritual meat? Put down that pacifier and get strong in the Lord.

PRAYER: It is easy to go through life being spoon fed even for those who attend church on a regular basis. But Lord I don't want to stop there. I desire maturity. I pray for nay in my family who may have grown complacent to desire to grow in you again. In Jesus' name. Amen.
