Keep Shining The Light...People Need It!

 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Even though the world you live in may be content,  peaceful, financially stable, and comfortable, many people do not experience those things. Their world may be full of hurt, disappointment, pain, bad news, homelessness, sickness. This world needs people to be God's hand and feet and shine for Him. 

Are you shining or has your light dimmed or gone out completely? What do you need to do to get it to shine brightly again? First you might start with insuring you are spending time alone with the Lord daily. Facebook may let you find out all about your buddies but it sure is not a tool of joy necessarily and it is a huge time waster. How often have you spent your entire morning checking Facebook and no time in the word? Ouch. 

To shine light to have to fuel yourself so God's light comes out of you. You learn how to be kind, generous, joyful, patient, caring, loving, empathetic, and forgiving by studying the word of God. Sunday is not enough. Start today to shine Jesus love everywhere you go. 

PRAYER: I want to be used to bring brightness into someone's life who is walking in darkness or just hurting. Help me remember to not neglect my daily time with you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
