Inside Your Bubble

"For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:  Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you" Romans 12:3

Many reading this probably lead fairly comfortable normal lives and we see the pain and suffering on the nightly news or other sources. When we are in our bubble of sorts it is easy to separate ourselves and think someone gifted in helping different people groups would be just the ticket. So we go on day in and day out not really caring or knowing what to do. 

Street people, prisoners, prostitutes, druggies, elderly, homeless, widows and widowers, runaways, terminally ill, orphans,  the unsaved, beggars, the poor. Has God touched your heart for any of these people groups? I am as guilty as the other guy. It takes courage, prayer,  and action to make a difference. Not just on special service days to make you feel good but even when no one else knows.

Easter is upon us. What a nice time to reflect on ways you can escape your bubble and stop making excuses and be the answer to prayer for someone. Pray over this why don't you then take action. 

PRAYER: So many people have so many needs. Many just need a friend to listen to them. Perhaps even there is a family member you have been estranged from where it is time to mend the rift and move on. Let God direct you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
