Beyond Easter

From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Matthew 16:21

So Easter 2017 is behind us. Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! But now what? The Easter lilies are wilting, the cute dresses are hung back in the closet, the candy is being consumed, but what next? You continue the Easter journey, that's what.

Realize there is way more to a relationship with Jesus than just Easter Sunday. Jesus died for all of us no matter how messed up we are or no matter how much you reject or deny Him. He doesn't wish any to perish but man has a free will and thus sometimes just doesn't want anything to do with what some call being 'religious'. I tell people I am not religious but I just love Jesus. Being religious is too much of a chore. 

So if you are reading this today and want to know more about letting Jesus be Lord of your life I would be happy to tell you. Give him first place, not your leftovers. 

PRAYER: I am grateful that you love me warts and all Jesus even sometimes when I hardly give you the time of day. I pray for those people who totally reject you to have a change of heart. In Jesus' name. Amen.
