Words. They Matter!

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6

These past few weeks with political debates many people have become so angry and fearful over the two choices for President of the United States. The media has been pulling for one side only and thus angers many. I have heard of Christians just going ballistic on Facebook pages calling the GOP candidate horrible names now as well as the Democrat candidate.  Are we really justified in being so ugly? The answer of course is no.

The enemy is having a hey day with the actions of many. Never mind the candidates themselves who are responsible for words on the part of one, and lies and corruption on the part of the other. The issue is we as believers need to stop judging, mind our own business, and pray. Stop spewing hate ourselves.

Only a few days are left until one of the most important elections of our lifetime. One of the biggest issues is the three Supreme Court justices that will be put into play by whoever is elected. Voters seem too angry to remember that factor. I urge all of you reading this to take time each day to pray. If you are beside yourself with anger turn on some Christian praise music to soothe your soul. By all means don't sit home on Election Day.

PRAYER: Dear Lord I am thankful for being born in a democracy. Many in other nations probably laugh at us. Help my brothers and sisters in Christ trust that you have a plan and help all of us know that once words are spoken they can't be taken back. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I like the following Bible verse:Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14 (KJV) It speaks to me. God reminds me of it often.
