He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
I am the proud and delighted mother of two grown sons and also have a beautiful "daughter" too. When I was raising my boys it was a privilege to be their mom. It was my God ordained job to build character and teach them responsibility, love for God, and many other things that would carry with them into adult life. It takes money to raise children. We are not to spoil them and shower them with toys they do not need but things like diapers, formula, clothes, medicine add up. I do not regret a thing and they owe us nothing at all. All my husband and I hope to get is love, respect, and satisfaction. And we do, I am thankful to say.
Jesus likewise paid for our sins on the cross. We owe him nothing more but to love Him and accept Him as Lord. So many people almost spit in Jesus' face by taking his name in vain and doing things that are against His word. All of us are sinners, but to knowingly go against what we know to be right breaks His heart. Like our true parent, Jesus does not kick you out or say "get away from me" but He unconditionally loves you warts and all.
Is there something you need to do to show more love to your heavenly Father?
PRAYER: I cry out to you Abba, daddy. Thanks for loving me and forgiving me for my sins. Thanks for always being there even when I have brought shame to your name. In Jesus' name. Amen.
